ABOVE & BELOW Inscriptions on rocks at the side of the path above Brookhouse Bridge, believed to be inhabitants of Brookhouse Farm before it was cleared for the making of Langsett Reservoir.Hannah Johnson, and Ada and Vincent Hudson
Wilfreys Nield ( or Needle) is supposed to resemble the spy hole in the door of St.Wilfreys cell in Ripon Cathedral, I run a guided walk each June to "thread Wilfreys Needle"   - it looks daunting but actually is quite easy, but on one walk most of the men "bottled it" whilst the women "threaded it".Can be found on Wilfrey Edge Grid Ref, SK18909540 - IT IS NOT VISIBLE FROM THE PATH you need to stand on the edges where the path crosses a large sandy area.
